12th Annual BYC Easter Hatch-Along

DAY 10 of my lone Paint silkie egg survivor. Looks good and the jiggle air cell has stabilized. Slightly saddled, but hanging in there.

Went to do last pre-hatch candle and the first egg I picked up peeped at me.

Two eggs are pipped, albeit one is doing things the hard way on pointy end.

As for third egg, I don't think it made it. Body mass looks like what I'd expect a couple days ago and I didn't see any movement.

The next set I put in after my failed Easter eggs have 2/5 fertile and growing! I am slowly starting to rearrange things in preparation for brooders. I'll be setting some Call ducks too, hopefully soon.

So the bad storms from this weekend blew our transformer while we were outta town. Incubators went 12hrs+ with no electricty. Threw out one batch but saved 80 eggs hoping some still hatch hope every1 elses hatch is okay!

Been sick! All of us. At least we feel up to .. getting up. Hang in cough. Tested..neg. Thank goodness. Would have worried..we have had both shots now. Anyway, I have some eggs in lockdown. Crossing fingers..I want a white Nn. One quit. Couldn't resist. Opened it. A white Nn!

Ok I am 4 days away from my hatch date and I could have sworn I heard some tapping from 1 of my 4 more developed eggs.hopefully they are just testing things out instead of truly hatching yet.I have 12 eggs in total and the other eggs aren’t as developed yet.
