Some picture of the duckings from this hatch along. They do grow up awfully fast :p
 
I believe it
My thinking is, a hen that pushes both good and bad eggs out of a nest might be expressing what little is left of an old trait. Now most chickens are hatched in incubators, but I would imagine when brooding a hen that doesn't remove rotting eggs wouldn't get to pass on it's genes. I haven't hatched enough eggs under hens to know for sure, but so far I have yet had a rotten egg kill a clutch.
