13-14 week old

We have 2 Barred Rock pullets that are 14 weeks & 10 Golden Comets pullets that are 13 weeks old. I have read several articles about when to change from chic food & what to change to. Some say they should be eating grow food now then transition to egg laying food, another I read said you can go direct from chic to egg laying food. I'd appreciate any suggestions.

I don't use layer feed. There's not enough protein. I use 18-20% all flock with oyster shells in a separate feeder. The all flock bag would tell you when to switch. I've had some that say 7-8 weeks and others that say 22 weeks.

Ditto, you could also keep them on un medicated chick food with oyster shell on the side.
