my dd just obtained 3 black cochin chicks, 13-14 wks old which we've kept seperate from our flock. this a.m. i found a long (about 4") flat whiteish noodley thing which i am assuming is a worm laying dead. now my question is, is there a safe wormer for them at this age? i am assuming they all have them since they were together and need to be treated together. the previous owner didn't mention anything about worming their older flock etc and my dd got these at her 4H mtg. she is away on a youth service project this wknd w/church and i'd like to start taking care of this before she gets back. can i use wazine? ivermectin? any suggestions?

just wondering if anyone has any info on the age...i think i read somewhere maybe 14 weeks old? does that sound right?

im new to this but ive heard that orgainc apple cider vinegar is a natural de wormer. everyone seems to suggest the "bragg" brand "with the mother" i picked some u today for the whole flock. ive been told to use about a teaspoon per gallon. hope this helps, or that someone more experienced can put me in my place:D
