13 chickens, 3 nesting boxes, Is it doable?

I have the same thing, occasionally I have 2 or 3 hens in he same nest box.

I have about 8 or 10 that want to lay in the same place - and often at the same time.

Sometimes I think an entire flock could lay in just one nesting box. LOL

Well, it should be alright. I have 2 rows of 4 nesting boxes, making that a total of eight nesting boxes and 18 hens in my one large coop. They prefer not to use the one side and basically they also prefer 2 of the nesting boxes the most... even though they will occasionally use one of the others if the one they like is occupied.
