13 Light Brahmas - how do you gender? - new pics of about half of them

The last two pics look like hens to me

Yes, he or she does. So does this mean I cannot go by the biggest? Because I assumed 6 was male because of its size (which you really cannot tell by the pics) maybe I should take a group shot tonight.

Do you know how difficult it was to take independent photos of these guys?! I was able to number them w/ a Dymo label maker on their legs so I can monitor them going forward. But no one has a comb w/ any real coloring yet. No one is crowing and they all seem equally dominant when it comes to food/water or even my attention. A couple were slightly more skittish having their photos taken on the kitchen table but that was the only real difference.

I agree. I also raise Brahmas and I can't tell by your pics yet a pullet from the cockerals. They are very slow to mature and be able to tell so let them grow out alot more.

Honestly I don't fry anything I name. And if they're to be food I give them to my neighbor to raise and I just make scheduled prisoner visits to see how they are doing. And of course I help w/ the processing (yuck).

Its just frustrating to not be able to tell gender particularly given how big they are getting and how many there are. I'd like to be able to start doling out the roosters.

If they hatched on 11/23, then they're only 6 1/2 weeks old... I have a 14 week old that I'm just now thinking might be a roo. The comb and wattles still look like yours, but I'm seeing pointy saddle feathers now. I'm just not sure. It's still really early to try to tell.
