ya, thank you. There are always opportunities for predators to worry chickens unless you sit with them 24/7.
I get coyotes passing through a few times a week, not to mention other predators.

about 6 weeks I think, she isn't they're going outside to eat and drink, they aren't in there all the time, Just more than normal. Could it be they are getting used to the temperature starting to drop? How long have they been living with the hen?
She may be keeping them in the coop....hope there's feed and water in there.
but the first couple they were separated.yea exactly 6 weeks
but could see eachotherbut the first couple they were separated.
it's not the best I want and I wanna upgrade it, but since I'm still a teenager I don't think my parents would buy stuff to make it safer so i'm saving money. They might just be nervous.......what does your coop and run look like?
I also have this dream to make it way bigger and put electric wire on the outside and have it be a big tall fence basically with a top of netting or hardwire cloth for hawks.it's not the best I want and I wanna upgrade it, but since I'm still a teenager I don't think my parents would buy stuff to make it safer so i'm saving money.View attachment 2338727
no she doesn't chase them, i mean she'll peck em if there to close to her treats but i figure all top hens do that sometimes. She did chase them a little when i first put them in there with her but after a week it was pretty calm. Thanks for that thread with the run ideas I'm exited to try some of those out!Looks like plenty of space.
The hen doesn't chase the chicks around?
Might try adding some......
....distractions and hiding places:
