I hope all of my feathered babies live such long and happy lives! If you want a friend maybe consider the exceptionally friends breeds like silkies or favoralles.

No, I just make sure she has fresh water and layer pellets with lots if fresh fruits, vegetables and grass.

Don't know about Silkies.I had 2 Faverolles, one died last spring at 6 years, the other is still going. Also have 1 Black Australorp, 1 Ancona and 1 EE that are 6.5 Y/O.

I bought Ethel 3 new baby chicks. She comes into where we have them and I hold up to see them. She looks at them and seems to be interested in having them around but our babies are terrified!! They are 21 days old now. More to come on how our old Ethel adjusts to having 3 young girls with her in in house.

We got Ethel 3 little pullets that are now 5 weeks old. She had been visiting with the baby chicks while they were in the brooder. We moved them out to the big girl house yesterday and Ethel LOVES them. She didn't peck at them and seemed happy to have company.
