13 year old hen

Our girl Ethel Sue will be 13 this year and we've gotten her a new coop. She's been healthy, hasn't laid in several years and has a senior life of luxury. She free roams in the day time, eats fresh fruits and vegetables, meal worms and has some scratch and pellets in her coop. This year, she's been in a very long molt and she feels thin when I pick her up. So I have a few questions:
1. Will moving her into a new coop stress her out?
2. Is it too late in life for us to move her to a nicer but coop with a roommate?
4. How long do older chickens molt?

What do you all think?

Wonderful! She's done really well for a very long time.
Yes, she may not appreciate changes, but if it's a better place, she will likely enjoy the new digs. New flockmates are iffy; maybe yes, maybe no. She should want company, but not to be picked on.

Congratulations on 13 years!
Chickens can be fussy when it comes to change. She’ll let you know. Seems you’d know best what to do.
I haven’t had that old of a hen but molt is a terrible time for any chicken especially if it’s a hard molt. Give her lots of protein. If you can wait till she’s done molting to bring in her new friends I think that would work better for her. Best wishes

Congratulations with 13 years! Moving her to a nicer home would be great as long as you get her used to the idea. But she might be too old to have flockmates since she might get bullied. But 13 years? Wow!

Thanks, I just want to make sure she's happy. I have had her for so... long that she is part of the family. I'll post a picture of her tomorrow! She looks really good for her age!!
