Gutting the turkey, I saw such growths on the liver. They can be easily cut from the liver, after cutting out this ball you can see a fairly thick wall and yellow contents resembling oblong clumps. I read about bird leukemia, but surprisingly, this turkey (male) was very fat, even obese, he ate and behaved normally, he had no symptoms that something might be wrong. Neither in the intestines nor in his heart did I observe similar changes.
The whole turkey was very fat, even though I bought it as a regular turkey it could have been a meat turkey due to very large breasts and high fatness.
The first photo shows the liver
Second cysts
Third shows heart
And the last shows all cysts from liver. Some are quite tiny, others are huge.
It seems to me that the liver is not overgrown, so maybe it's tuberculosis? I hope so because it looks like a milder disease than leukemia.
Unfortunately, these cysts also appeared on one kidney.
I managed to get all the cysts out of the liver, after cutting them the content is quite hard and stiff, of a structure that resembles the eggs of some animals.
