So I have a Buff Minorca who, much to my chagrin, gets broody a LOT. Usually I simply remove her from the nesting boxes and place her near the others. However... Today I did just that and one of hens immediately came after her exposed vent. After walking a few steps, she passed an egg. Great.
Then I take a look at her vent and it looks like this....?
Normally she's very flighty but was letting me hold her like a champ. She's still alert and active, but this concerns me. I placed her back in the coop so the others do not bully her.
What do I do next?
