I lost my favorite hen 2 days ago and now my favorite roo is acting exactly like she did. They have a slimy white goo on their rear, his poo is pure water and water drips from their mouths. My roos cone is turning black too. I have wormed them and given corrid and nutria drench. What could this be? Please help. They're my babies.

Hi @k1976hill welcome to BYC!
I’m sorry no one answered your question yet.. how is your 🐓 doing today?

hereis another tread on watery 💩

I also found A less positive story about the leaking clear fluids from the beak..

quote:
So, what to do if your hen “vomits” clear liquid? Unfortunately, that will likely be the first sign that something is amiss, and by then the situation is severe. Do not isolate and bring inside. Your chicken needs fresh air and sunshine. If she is so ill that others are bullying her, separate to her own pen. Do rethink what you are feeding. If your ill hen is eating and drinking, leave her be. She might rebound. However, if after three days she is lethargic, and is not eating, she could starve to death. Please consider euthanizing her. This is the hard part of chicken keeping. You can’t always fix the problem.

they are talking about Ascites.

please note: I’m not a chicken owner so above information is found while googling your chickens symptomes. I hope an expert will come around who can tell you more

Thank you for replying ☺️

He seems to be doing much better today, thanks for asking. I have pretty much narrowed it down to him having sour crop. I have taken all food away for 24 hours and after 12 hours of no water last night he is now drinking probiotic water. I'll start him on yogurt tonight and tomorrow morning I'll give him some scrambled eggs. He started crowing again yesterday morning! I was never so happy to hear that!!!! He is very alert and his poo is not just solid water now, so I'm hoping this is much improvement!
If anyone has more advice my ears are aching to hear it!
