Hello,
I am really upset.
I'm on day 14 of hatching duck eggs and I'm taking them out to cool down for up to 30 mins a day. Earlier on I put an alarm on my phone as I always do, to put them back in incubator. The time my alarm went off I had a visitor and I completely forgot about the eggs being out of the incubator. So they were out for an hour and 36 mins before I went I to kitchen and realised. Will they die? I feel so guilty and upset.

I don't have experience with an incubator, but I've hatched under a duck. One night I wanted to make sure she had a safe spot in the duck house and that the eggs weren't bothered by the other ducks. So, I put up a divider between the duck on her nest and the other ducks. Well, the divider got knocked down and I'm not sure how long the eggs weren't sat on. They were cold in the morning. I still let her finish nesting and others here on byc thought there was a chance. She hatched 3 out of 5. I never candled. Only 1 egg was not viable. The 1 that was and didn't survive ended up in the run half hatched. I'm not sure what happened there. So, I could have had 4 out of 5 hatch even after the nest being cold overnight.
I think your eggs definitely have a chance.

They should be fine. There's been people on here that have had incubators go down for hours (power outage/storm/etc) and have had no issues.

Best of luck with your hatch!
