14 week old Sussex gender

I have to agree with pullets, every comb and wattle i've seen on a chicken has been red, but theirs definantly would've been bigger if they were cockerels. What breed are they again?

Light Sussex

Pullets for sure, you would already know at that age, they would be showing cockerel behavior and already developed saddle feathers at that age. Pullet faces too!

@Killrk
Why don't you wait 3 weeks or so, then post some more pictures of them? I'm not trying to just be trouble, but I can't go against what my brain tells me, and I'm not going to lie. Now, if you happened to have the age wrong, and they were actually 18 weeks or older, then they would be pullets at the point of lay. But if you are sure they are 14 weeks, then I have to stick with cockerels. Because pullets only get red combs and wattles when they are getting ready to lay, which would be a long time from 14 weeks.

Pullets, Been raising light Sussex for a couple years. Roosters have a lot of red around the eyes at that age and are considerably larger by 14 weeks. See my avatar. Saddle feathers would be showing some by now. I have a pair right now at 11 weeks and its real obvious which is the rooster. Also have EE's and they can be difficult to tell the difference until its obvious.
