We just got some Bantams and we have quarantined them, but we do not know how long to quarantine them.

Usually 30 days is a good point. I've heard of 60 for birds that came from poorer conditions though

2 weeks minimum, a month would be best. True quarantine is no cross contact at all. That means you change shoes, etc. When entering their quarantine area.

Quarantine is nearly impossible to do in a real backyard. If you don't do quarantine properly, you may as well not do it at all. If the birds can see each other, then quarantine has been broken. Most diseases are air borne.

Personally, I seldom quarantine, but I do not buy birds from auctions, or flea markets. I get other birds from people that keep birds like me. There is a risk, but smaller than the other.
