Owning Poultry for me started with this rooster almost 4 years ago. I had him a dog and young cat and they were all buddies. I don't think he knew he was a rooster at that time. He saved me when I was very lonely. Fast forward and he's the proud roo of 9 hens. Father of many chick's. He means the world to me.

I love my chickens! What is more fun than Iris greeting you like this?! They are funny, come when you call them and it's a joy every day seeing who is laying a different colour egg!

I love my Heritage breeds for their diversity, feather colour and egg colour! They are free ranging here in my yard under the protection of the bushes. Happy to walk with me to the garden when I go. They just make me smile!
