Hey group.
I have saved the eggs from my three hens (Plus one roo) for the last fifteen days. Last night I put them all in the incubator. (LG with heat/fan/egg turner) I meant to only keep ten days worth of eggs but time got away from me and I didn't date them as I saved them. Will the old and like dead eggs affect the hatch rate of the live embryos as they exchange air through the shells?
I have only hatched one batch before and didn't have any luck trying to candle them. There were a few that I could see veins in but most of them just looked the same to me. I really am a newbie with quail. Any advice is always appreciated.
Thanks,
Dave
