Wife just called and the girls are doing great..she says they are like kids in and out in and out all day. I can't wait to get home and see them but they will prob be in the coop by then...................... 8pm. I opened the pop door at 5am and they didn't show any interest they just stayed up on the roost. Wife said when she got up at 7 they were enjoying being outside she gave them a waffle for breakfast with a slice of watermelon. Thank you for all the compliments..but like I said I owe this site all the thanks and ideas. Should i put a 10' Roost in run? My wife said when they went in coop during the day they were roosting.

I would do a saw horse roost or something like that that can be moved around to different locations. You could use it too to hang a cabbage treat.
That looks very similar to what we are trying to build. We already have 6 hours invested and so far we just have the stand. The wood will be delivered today, so hopefully after this holiday weekend we'll be done, or at least close.
What size is it? The pictures make it look huge inside.
Looks great but one thing to consider is your door security.
A raccoon can turn the latches easily and get in. Maybe another kind of latch would prevent a needless preditor attack. They are very crafty. Beautiful and well thought out. I know your hens will enjoy it. Gloria Jean
