I just posted my Black Australorp with the same question however mine at 13 weeks has a bigger comb and wattle... I 100% agree it seems very inconsistent with this breed. Hope you were able to figure it out!Hi! I purchased our chicks from TSC as pullets. They are 15 weeks. Our one black australorp has been getting more red on the comb and bigger wattles. Do this breed mature faster? Or could she be a he? Ugh. They seemed the same pace as our others, but took a spurt recently. I stalk lots of the boards and seems it’s not too consistent with this breed.

This breed was a first for us and only had two to compare to each other. The one is still bigger in size, but both laying hens.
