And the roo was mostly red. Wondered if they were sex-linked as chicks, or if they feathered out differently at a few weeks like the wheatens do.

    HappyMtn, those were my birds you're thinking of. My roo ended up looking a lot like the first one posted in this thread! I sold him because he was getting aggressive with the kids. I wish I could see him all grown up tho...He's about 4 mos old in this pic. The pullet is 5 months.

    Mine are 1/2 BWA, 1/4 RIR, 1/4 BLRW:
