so i thought i had all pullets.
within the last week i have noticed one (of the 2) black australorps is getting 'her' wattle and comb is more red than the other. at 15 weeks, the combs of the others are emerging, but no wattles yet.

could i have a roo?
also - the tail feathers are less on the one and curve at the end. the two birds look very different now. however, the maybe roo has not crowed at all...

I suspect you would have been suspicious before now if it was a cockeral. Seems to me I went through the same thing as my BA girls grew and got to be about this age. But everyone here assured me they were all pullets from the pictures I posted. And indeed they were. I am guessing yours is too.

Well, at least that's what we think they are... Both are 6 weeks. But do you notice the difference in combs?

still trying to get a good photo to post.
i have noticed now that two of my girls (one barred rock and the other black australorp) both of them have only a few tail feathers that are straight and then look like they hook on the end.

the other barred rock and ba have bushier tails and are shorter.

??? does this mean anything???
