My chicken with the most developed comb laid her first egg... put the nesting boxes in today after because I had not bothered yet since I didn't think any of them were old enough yet. Hopefully she understands and starts using the nesting boxes. We have a white ping pong ball in there now to encourage her and others ...
Should the red floppy comb been my first clue she was about to lay ? The other hens the same age do not have nearly as developed a comb as she does.
Will try to post pics later, need new battery for my camera.
