The post office has outdone itself.

I had 20 ducklings shipped from Ideal on Wednesday. They called me from my local post office at 6 AM Thursday to pick them up.

The ducklings all arrived feeling very lively and hungry enough to try to eat any finger stuck through the ventilation holes in the shipping box.

That quick trip in decent weather sure makes a difference. Ducklings had to have left Ideal in great health, because riding around in a cardboard box isn't going to improve their condition and they were in great shape when they arrived.

Oh yes, I know how quickly some can get here.
Sand Hill sent my Golden Cascade ducklings out on a Wed. MOF, the lady that called me to say they were going out said they were boxing them up right then and that was 10 am my time. I got those ducklings at 6 am the next morning! That was so super quick! I have never received an order that quickly and I order a lot and often every spring of chicks from other hatcheries.
