can anyone explain this they have shelters out of the cold its currently 10 degrees out and yes it is day right now but they sleep here too.

Sometimes chickens (and ducks) choose to stay outside in bad weather even when there's shelter available. I used to have a rooster who would try to sleep on top of his coop year-round. If it's colder than is safe for them, try feeding them inside the shelters to encourage them to go in.

Training Chickens to "Coop" at Night
This works for ducks too. Looking at your coops, you might need to place a board in front during the night so they don't wander back out. Is there a reason they don't like the coops? I agree with the above reply, try feeding them in the coops.

the black one we put in yesterday but the igloo has been their and they used to go in all the time till we put hay on the concrete
