Is there anything you can do for a broody hen?? Today has been the first time one of my hens has pecked at my husband when he went to get the egg. After she layed it she stayed in the nesting box and wouldn't get off the egg.

You can gently lift her out of the nest or just reach under her and get the egg.
Being broody is part of a chickens cycle, it’s natural.
Most chicken keepers let them brood for a time the gently break the brood, I just let my flock do what is natural for chickens

My birds are all different. Some broody hens will try to bite my hand off and some dont peck me at all. It just depends on the individual bird.
