1588 genesis humitity problem

I have a new 1588 also with a bit of difficulty keeping the humidity up. I had too high humidity last year with my old incubator, so I'm trying more of a dry hatch this time--30-35%. But it would only read 15% with no water. I'm using 2 shot glasses now, but have to refill twice a day. Probably will try sponges next. The outside and household humidity are also low right now, so I have to keep a close watch. In the past with my old incubator if I filled the 1st reservoir, it got too humid.

Do you have the Genesis 1588 with digital controll center? That is what I have. Which reserviors did ya fill? I had humidity issue my first time using it cause i used the small reserviors in center of tray. Ya gotta use reservior on edge of tray marked 1 for first 17 days then use troughs 1 and 2 for lock down. Hope that helps.

This is what I was going to ask, I thought the genesis had a control panel for temp and humidity or is that just the newer 2012 one?
