1588 Hova Bator question

I just got my first incubator and I have a question:

• How long do you have to run the incubator to stabilize the temp?

I am new to this so I need advice. If there is anything else I should know, please tell me.

it should say in the instructions it gives you but i have a hova bator and it says about 6 hours

I have the same incubator and it only took 2 hours to stabilize. I let it sit for six hours before setting 42 eggs. 36 of which are on hatch day right now!

Oh how exciting! How are they now?
I have one other question (for now )

• Can you set ten eggs on the first day and then add ten more the next day? If so, on three days prior to hatch, can you take out the turner and then not turn the eggs put in on the second day that are 4 days away from hatch?

I did and all is well I just think the ones set a day late will hatch a day late.

Right now I have 3 pips and lots of wiggles! One died. I think it pipped in the wrong place and drowned. not sure though.
