Will you have more in the near future?
A dog came in and slaughtered all of my 4 month old pullets.
I could start with a few when my silkies go broody. If you still have some available.
Hello,
Can you tell me about this breed? The eggs are colored, do they produce often: daily, every other day... etc...
and what kind of temperment?
Thank you.
Parsonswife, you can click on my website link to learn about them and see some pics of my birds. They are under the Easter Egger page. We no longer have the red rooster pictured on my site, but you could get chicks that mature in that color, so I left his pic for a reference.
Our Easter Eggers are ameraucana crosses. We also use pure ameraucana that do not meet the standard of perfection for show based on off plumage patterns. My EEs have different looks and are excellent producers of medium to large eggs. A couple lay jumbo sized eggs as well. All of my birds have full muffs/beards and lay blue, green and brown colored eggs. I find they have great personalities and are good foragers as well. They are a little more flighty than the calmer breeds, like buff orps, but they are also just as sweet when hand raised. We have several who like to be held and they come to greet you when you have treats like most breeds of chickens. They are not known for broodiness (wanting to be a mom), but my one EE and my ameraucana girls do like to brood at least once a year. I hope this helps.
