is the comb red? or dark pink? My orpington girls are 18 weeks still no eggs. They squat when I hold them, but they put up a fight first lol

I am no expert by far (newbie), but my girls never let me hold them. One day almost 2 weeks ago as I approached Sally squatted on the ground and I was able to pet her. My niece picked her up. All good. Her first squat was on the 8th Sep. laid her first egg on the 15th - 21 weeks Now every day she squats for me and comes running to me as well. I do believe yours is nearing, watch for the ground squat, not while holding her. You will see the difference. Good luck.
