Right now I have 2 cockerels, a 20 week old and a 16 week old. The 16 week old I raised from a day old chick with the rest of the pullets (this I thought was a pullet and ended up being a cockerel). The 20 week old cockerel I bought at a little over 4 weeks. Well the 20 week old cockerel is the dominant rooster and is being a good gentleman. My 16 week old cockerel has turned sour. He pecked my daughter (she’s 9) on the hand when she was going to feed the chickens (she’s had gloves on). The next day when I went out to feed the chickens he did the same thing to my hand, pecked me so hard he drew blood from my hand. The old cockerel immediately ran over and handled the younger cockerel. The younger cockerel has also now started to aggressive mount the young pullets and again, the older cockerel handles business and fights him away. The older cockerel has not started mounting any of the pullets and he has never pecked any of us. Since I have this nice gentlemen, I don’t think it’s worth keeping the other. Do I just slaughter him or should I try and rehome him to someone else? I’m just nervous since he’s showing such aggression that he could escalate and become even meaner. Thoughts? Right now he is in the bachelor coop by himself and the older cockerel is with the pullets in the big coop. They do all green range during the day on our almost 1 acre back yard. The younger cockerel is not right now as I keep him in the bachelor coop and run.

I would cull for sure.

I had an aggressive rooster once — he picked a fight with his own father and ended up dead, and his dad was injured too. I’d cull yours before he decides to challenge your gentleman rooster.
Your gentleman sounds like a keeper for sure. Only a small percentage of roosters turn aggressive like your young one.
If you want a bit more meat off him, you can pen him separately for a few weeks and let him grow out a little more.
