16 week old Marans/GLW Cross Gender?

Ok, I took new pictures of the mystery bird today. I figure he/she is about 19.5 weeks old now. I'm starting to think I got the gender on this one wrong and it really is a pullet. That would be really fabulous if it were true. :)

Comb and wattles are the same size and pinkish color they've been for a couple months now. I've noticed a bit more gold coming through in a couple places.

I agree with you, it looks more like a pullet to me too(esp. since it's that old now). I think if it were a boy, you'd know by now.

Ordinarily I'd agree with you, but I have three roosters in the pen, and I've heard that if there's several roosters around, young cockerels don't crow as early. But, still no sign of saddle feathers.

I hate to call it yet, but I'll never be happier to be wrong.

Ok, around 21-22 weeks. Yesterday, it was realllllly looking roo-ish to me.

The stance is this picture makes it even worse. The kicker is that bit of orangey feather coming in towards the back. Looks like the start of hackle feathers to me. :(

Better shot of the orange feathers.

The legs are thick, and the feathers look like a male. The weird thing is where's the comb?

Nope-boy! There are saddles. I had hope for you early one...but not now. The waddles can be late-and with a mix with a dot, it will be slow to develop a comb/waddle.
