I have 6, 16 week old pullets. I have heard that pullets can lay at 16 weeks or lay. When red stars, barred rocks and ameracaunas begin laying?

Twenty weeks is usually the earliest they will start. Anything earlier would not be good for their long term health.

My 16 week old Sussex pullet has been singing the egg song and squatting for the past couple of days. She's heritage breed, so idk if that makes a difference or not, but I'll let you know if I get an egg in the next week or two!

I have a Red Star too, she's 18 weeks and still no eggs, but we think that she will lay soon. 16 weeks is a bit young, but the wait is excruciating! Hopefully you and I will both e seeing some eggs soon
