Hello! I have been treating a few of my chicks for what I thought had to do with nutrition for over a week and they aren't getting much better. I have been giving poultry cell once a day and recover plus in their water everyday. I did send one that passed to the research lab but that will take a few more days for results. I feel like I am missing something here, I've never had this issue before. Any suggestions? Thank you!

Please post photos of the chicks, their poop and housing.

What symptoms do they have? You're treating for nutritional deficiency - what symptoms?
What are you feeding, including treats?
How long have you had them, where did they come from?

I was having a tough time getting photos to upload. But they started out wobbly they could walk but would trip easily. Then it turned into not being able to hold their weight. So I put the 4 in my sick pen. I bought 10 silkies, 10 polish, 10 bantam cochins and 10 giant cochins from my local grainery they are out of a hatchery in New Mexico privet hatchery. I've had them since they were 5 days old I believe. They were all extremely healthy until I let them out to free change. I have 1,00 acres of farm land with an old 2 stall garage that is my barn with about 25 laying hens and 5 roosters. Some were bullies so I thought maybe I let them out too soon so they weren't able to get the nutrients they should so I put the silkies and bantam cochins back in what I use as my brooder and they are all very healthy with no issues. So that makes me feel what the others have isn't contagious. I was feeding Pay pack hatch to hen with amproliuum but I switched to naturewise starter grower once I found out that some silkies and polish struggle with absorbing vitamin E so medicated isn't the best for them. I give a tiny bit of soldier fly larva once they are full feathered. But my hens get woodies scratch grain, mealworm, black oil seed, and soldier fly larva once a day I just toss a few scoops out each day. I also added naturewise all flock feed in with the chick feed and the laying feed because it had the highest about of vit E and selenium out of all the feed bags I could find. My hens also get oyster shell and even though they free range i give grit too. I will try to get photos to load in a bit or maybe next time I am in a town lol

I'm sorry, the photos and video didn't load.

Have you treated them for Coccidiosis? Getting a fecal float would be a good idea to rule it out.

If you feel they are deficient in vitamins, then I'd direct dose them for a few weeks to see if that makes a difference. Give each one 400IU Vitamin E and 1/4 tablet B-Complex daily along with a bit of egg to help with the uptake of E.

Some birds don't absorb nutrients as well as others, but since you have multiple birds, it may be that they were being kept from feed.

Most medicated chick feed in the U.S. contains a tiny amount of Amprolium which a synthetic B1(Thiamine) analog blocker, so it has nothing to do with Vitamin E uptake.
