Meet Ferdie da Berdie, the chick that started it all. 16 weeks as of yesterday.

S/he's the most talkative of the bunch (15) and our only Ancona so I don't have a good comparison chick. Of all our breeds, s/he's got the largest comb that is the darkest and I'm hoping for cockerel. Out of 15 chickens I think he's the only chance we have 😅

Always the first one out of the coop in the meeting and the first one to go in at night. The most talkative of the bunch and oddly enough the only one that stands up to our head hen Lulu.

What do you all think??

Did you order females? Do you have pictures of your other chickens?
They aren't the easiest to photograph when not eating or puddling together. We did get sexed chicks and we're told they have a 90% accurately rate so I figured at least one would be a roo out of 15.
