I came up with that 48 number too but the chicken yard would not support that many... chicken math is to get a few of Cinnamon Queens to add to the RIR's. I'm thinking 15 maximum... I have 9 pullets now.

I have 19 in about 10 x 20, seems comfortable, maybe a few more if I can find some Croad Langshans. My brooder does take up some floor space though. They sleep on top so it's not totally wasted but still hogs nearly 3 feet during the day.

The first task will be to clean all the junk and my anodizing line (never used) out of the garden shed... lots to think about in the mean time. I'd like to preserve as much floor space as possible along with maybe some places that subs can escape the dominate ones. Yea this will be fun for sure.

Maybe make something like this to comb the poop tray and put it in the compost pile automagicly...

Yep, been looking at your shed/coop again.

The soffits are perforated every third one.
No ceiling.
I have one 20amp 120v circuit in there.

I was thinking of adding gable vents along with the perforated soffit. Lots to do like clean the junk out lol...
