16th Annual BYC Easter Hatch-Along

Well I didn't ease back into chickening, I picked my crazy right back up where I left off and have set 7 chocolate silver laced orpingtons currently. Just hatched 6 last week, too!

Tomorrow I'm setting 5 crested cream legbar, 6 BBS orpingtons, and 6 mauve orpingtons.

Also have chocolate americaunas and speckled olive eggers en route in the mail.

Currently running 4 incubators to see which ones hold steady the best, oh and realizing I need to get busy building a bigger coop. My first hatch of Choc. Silver Lace - I set 8 eggs and 6 hatched.

All goose eggs should be in, going in today or within the next two days!

Pheasants, Mallards (derived), Turkeys, Guineas, and Peafowl, you're on deck!

I have the best luck most times with shipped eggs.

I've decided to do a fertility hatch from my Belgians since I keep having to put off setting up breeding pens so I'll be setting some eggs from my Watermaal and d'Anvers for the hatch-a-long!
