17 week red star laid today... do I switch all of them over to layer?

Not sure which of the 3 laid. They currently are on starter crumbles. Do I switch them over now to layer feed even though they are younger than the 24 weeks that the feed store recommended to me? Thank you!
 
yes, the age they state to start feeding "layer" is just a guideline giving the "average" age a chicken starts laying. You may want to also give them oyster shell.

I have three of what I believe are red sex-links, and they all started on layers feed right from the time they started to develop combs

Especially the younger ones, we simply couldn't keep up with buying two types of feed so they ate layers from maybe five or six weeks old!
