I also love that first EE pullet! I love all her black!
Whiting true Blues, one Ameraucana that is red brown that I’m being excoriated in another thread ppl saying she’s an EE. Four true blues, two darker brown black, two lavender/smoke/gray..four Cuckoo Marans, four WTB, three Bielefelders, two Speckled Sussex, one alleged Ameraucana, one Black Australorp..I wasn’t sold any as EE, although the extremely insistent ppl in another thread insist she’s an EE, not Ameraucana. Edit..the little dark one, I call her Tiny, she’s also getting the most interesting, almost iridescent earlobes, like an electric green blue..

Beautiful children! My ones will lay in a week or two I think, she started squatting a mating so -
Sunny Side up on the way!

I hatched them! March 2nd, 2021
I wanted to hatch some Bl Copper Marans, but decided against it, losing, dealing w roosters for a newbie was too much. I bought a nice incubator, had an order w a breeder, decided to go with Murray McMurray, they sent me beautiful birds..I’m totally happy. I was very interested in the Whiting True Blues, genetically it’s so interesting to see birds that have a consistent blue egg gene, but look so different From each other. I’ll look for the pics of receiving them at the post office..!

Yeah same, cockerel are a pain. I too was very anxious and confused all the time the first time. But I learnt that, if you are having a breeding project, keep a coop free. When the cockerels start problems, move them over. Give them feed (I normally dont as mine are all free ranged) and make them grow. Then eat them. As sad as it is, its the best for the hens
