18 week old chicks / chickens / pullets - Update

I love seeing Isa's in action! Are yours laying yet? Mine are all about 17 weeks and haven't started.
nope, not laying yet ( in this video )

the coop is unheated ( at -28*C or so i'll heat it ), so i expect the chickens to lay when they are older. also not supplementing light asides from a small red "night light"


want them to start laying later so they don't burn themselves out.

They’ll probably still start laying this winter. My guess would be between weeks 20-24. It is still possible a few of them will wait til spring, but being a production breed, Id bet they will all start before the year is over.
