19 and a half weeks old and still no eggs :( egg countdown anyone??

My 4 heritage breed Buff Orps started laying at almost 31 weeks old. 2 lay one day, and the other 2 lay the next day. They seem to do this daily now but every now and then take a day off. They haven't been laying a full 2 weeks yet. My EEs are about 20/22 weeks old no eggs yet. Actually the rest of my pullets are 20/22 and no eggs. My EEs are my only hatchery quality pullets. The rest are heritage strains from a local show quality breeder. So I knew they would take longer. I was surprised that my pullets laid so late in October though. The EEs combs are getting darker but no where near as deep red as my hens combs are just before they began to lay. They started doing the squat and egg song periodically like a month before they even started laying- they made me sweat. LOL

I GOT EGGS!!!!!! We only have 1 girl old enough to lay. She's our 21 1/2 week black cochin bantam, Phantom. We had stopped checking all the time and I was just giving them their morning bowl of oatmeal when I glanced in the corner and THERE WERE 3 EGGS!!!!! Tiny and perfect!!!!

Our first batch of girls are 19 weeks old - mixed flock. One of them, a black Australorp, her comb has turned bright red! Realy sticks out against her black feathers, and I have noticed some others starting to get redder also.

We put in an old cabinet as nest boxes - hoping they will use it when they start! I can't wait for them to start laying as our older hens are off for the winter and we haven't had an egg in several weeks! I actually had to break down and buy a dozen in the store, ugh!

I have read that with young hens in their first year of laying, they will lay through winter with no additional light. Anyone care to verify/disclaim this? We didn't want to push our chickens, but I thought they would slow down for winter, not completely quit laying!

We have 2-3 year old: 4 Buff Orpingtons, 2 Ameraucanas, 1 Welsummer, 1 Light Brahma, 1 Production Red.

19 week olds: 1 Black Australorp, 2 Ameraucanas, 2 Welsummers, 2 Silver Laced Wyandottes, 4 Leghorns, 2 Salmon Faverolles, 2 Speckled Sussex, 2 Russian Orloffs, 2 Rhode Island Reds.

15 week olds: 3 Cochines, 1 Silkie, 2 Red Shouldered Yokohamas, 1 Jungle Fowl, 1 Black Australorp, 1 Buff Chantecler.

this is getting quite surprising.. Desdemona has laid an egg every single day since her first egg which was last sunday!!!! Im thinking she has to skip a day soon.. they are such nice little brown speckledy ones :)

Suddenly I am very hopeful...... I have 2 squatters! I was cleaning the coop and they were at my feet, so naturally I'd try to pet them, and 2 of them did the squat! Woo hoo!

Edit. Son had one more squat for him.
