19 and a half weeks old and still no eggs :( egg countdown anyone??

First egg today!!

I don't know which of my girls laid it since all but three of my 15 pullets will lay brown eggs. My Rhode Island Red, a Barred Rock, and a Gold Laced Wyandotte have been checking out the nesting boxes recently. All of my girls are heritage breeds and 19 weeks old so I wasn't expecting this. I thought someone was punking me when my daughter brought this inside today!

My chickens are 19 and a half weeks old. No eggs yet. Out of 8 chickens, 3 have big red combs and 1 of the 3 is squatting when I approach, but she is not doing "the egg song" yet. She a black australorp that is the most dominant of all. She is the black one in my profile pic. Here's a close up of her. :)

Ugh, I'll join this party.... I'm so sick of waiting! My girls are almost 23 weeks and still nothing! Not only am I dreaming about finding eggs, my boyfriend is as well and confessed to me last night that he had considered buying eggs and putting them in the nests so I could find them and stop obsessing!

Haha! My girls looked so mature... I was sure they were going to start weeks ago... Here's a picture from 3 weeks ago:

Sigh... How much longer, ladies?!

They do LOOK ready. Are you suffering from the terriable heat like the mid west is? That could affect their laying (or lack of laying). You do appear to actually have Green grass instead of this dried out brown stuff.

They really look like they should be laying ANY day now ....... try looking in the area they are running... they may have a secret nest with a stash of eggs (or try keeping them in the coop for a day) my mature girls will "discover" a nest in the run and use it for a bit sometimes.. until we find it and put a broken brick on that spot.... they don't like square eggs...
By the way that is one funny looking white CHICKEN??

My girls layed their first eggs right under the feeder...

I also keep oyster shell in a seperate feeder and it seems that they don't eat a whole lot of it. I filled it up a month ago and it has barely been touched... It's right next to the regular feeder too...
