19 Days with no eggs...... will she ever lay again

I added a layer 1- year old to my flock of 14 - week olds, she laid 7- days straight, skipped1 day laid again but now hasn't layed for 19 - days straight, any suggestions....I know there can be an adjustment period but we're closing in on 3- weeks now, so much for bridging the gap until the young ones start

At one year, it's very likely she will. Stress causes lots of gaps in laying, and can even bring on a molt. Some chickens take more time to adjst to new circumstances than others. I'd suggest patience. Sorry it was inconvenient for you, though.

Thanks, patience is my issue right now, this is my first year owning chickens, got 7 babies back in March and waiting on them to lay so this one was to calm me down, oh well I guess back to waiting lol

I had 3 old hens who stopped laying for about a year, then one started back laying one or two a week.
the two I have now seem to pick their own time to lay eggs, and al;ternate most of the time.
seems to be hit or miss.
May be in part due to hot weather.
Too hot, too cold, they seem to stop, or lay less often.

I got a Molted Java last year because she was broody and I needed a broody, long story short, I screwed up and broke her of the broody bug, she then (I believe because of stress) went right into a molt.. It took her several months to lay her first egg ( I got her in September and she laid her first egg for me sometime in either early Jan or February... She has earned her place tho, she has successfully raised two broods for me so I am glad I dealt with it...
