I don't think she's a dark cornish either even though she looks a lot like them. When we visited the breeder awhile back to return a pullet that turned out to be a rooster, we saw some of his dark cornish hens and told him they looked sorta like our mystery breed. The problem is, when my husband got our chicks back in April, he just told the breeder we wanted a variety of brown or colored egg layers that also make good pets. When he got home with the chicks, he had trouble remembering exactly what type they were and who was what. So, we ended up just guessing that she was a Partridge Rock. Then, as she got older, she had the partridge patterning, but not the comb or head feathering like one.
The breeder couldn't remember what he had sold us either when we came back a couple of months later to return the roo, and we didn't think to bring a picture to show him. He was pretty certain he didn't goof up and give us a dark cornish by mistake, as they aren't good layers. She really isn't wide and short like the dark cornish hens he had, and her patterning is different, but she doesn't look like his Partridge Rocks either. I dunno...
