ours are 22 weeks and we have no eggs yet,

We look every morning hopeful but still we wait

We also have silkies but I hear they take 8-9 months to lay so there is a long wait

Polish can take at least 7 months. Though people have said 8-9 is more likely. My first adult started at approx. 9 months.

It came as a surprise to us. Everyone else had begun laying months before and we had waited so long, we forgot. But I remembered when we came upon that little white egg.

Our Whits crested polish laid her first egg at 22 weeks, then 3 out of four days we had an egg, our other one still no eggs yet.
