19 weeks and 2 days old

Two of my hens, one hatched out 2 and the other 6, hatched out chicks in May and today the chicks are a little over 19 weeks old but the mother hens are still taking care of them. For example they still all sleep around her on the floor of the coop, she still calls them for food, and she still fights off other animals that she feels threatens her chicks. I know that this is not normal so I wanted to know what I can do about it or what is wrong with the hens. Also the mother who hatched out six also hatched out six about two years ago and she kicked the chicks out of the nest at an early age.

It can be totally normal. Her hormones are telling her to take care of the kids and they are still listening. Nothing wrong with her in my book.
