1hen won't eat

Still hanging in there. More poop, runny white with a touch of green. She is pecking a bit at her food...millet, layer crumbles..organic. crop might be a little smaller? A touch better than yesterday. If they have technology to read minds, then hopefully they can read a sick animals mind so we can help
Is it her crop(circled) or her belly(see arrow-below vent and down between legs) that swollen? Giving her all that stuff is not likely helping..just some wetted chicken ration would be best. If her belly is grossly swollen there not much hope, best to euthanize IME, have had several with ascites.

Not grossly swollen. Soft and full crop. I have had a couple with a bound up crop before which needed massaging and some olive oil to get loose. Front of hen. She seemed a bit better today. She seems interested in grapes. I powdered up some of the organic pellets into yoghurt , the watery kind...not kefir but..probiotic. I think she is getting tired of being spoonfed liquid, though. Comb color better, do I dare...to hope?

What about her belly?
To me, crop equals belly. It is the bag that sticks out in the front and fills up with food, then empties overnight. ?Then it separates out going to the gizzard and some going to...proventriclus? Hope I am explaining that well enough. Crop in front, under neck.

I know where the crop is.....I posted a pic showing the belly area that should be checked for swelling also. Crop issues are often caused by problems farther down the digestive system.

Ok, I was confused. The lower area seems ok..but I am not positive. There might be some swelling in the backend, it would seem normal on our welsummer, but this hen isn't fat, she is older and cubalayas are small. There might be some swelling back there between the keel and vent area...

She isn't that swollen. She continues to improve slowly. Gave her layer pellets in water with molasses and a touch of cayenne. She wants to eat watermelon mostly. She needs easy to digest food, her crop is smaller than before.

It's sad and disheartening when all you want to do is make them better, but nothing seems to work. I know your frustration.
Keep doing what you are doing and she will be comfortable as she can be, poor thing.
Update: she seems better, more talkative, pecking at her grain, more alert. One week since start of clavimax and the worm pill. Still not sure what it was. Still runny poop. Crop is smaller...things seem to be going through a little better. Hope it continues, she has to get her strength back as she has 2 coop mates she has to reassert dominance over, both younger and bigger than her
