New chicken owner here and yesterday we got our 1st egg from our young Plymouth Rock. I felt like a proud parent when I saw that egg, hahah! Today while in work I learned that she laid another egg, two days in a row! My other 3 girls (2xBuff Orpingtons & Easter Egger) haven't laid anything just yet but we just got them this past weekend and I am not expecting much at all being they are so new and it's winter. And a very cloudy, damp and snowy winter it's been so far, so needless to say we are super excited to see one of them laying although I don't or wouldn't want her to keep up this pace.
They are so darn cute and way cuter and funnier than I ever imagined they'd be. They bring a smile to our families face and the kids just adore them. Excellent website and resource that I used very much when building the coop and preparing for the arrival of our hens.
