Thanks everyone. It has been a real long weekend with # 7 hatching just about an hour ago. We have one EE egg left and I will give it a couple of days before I give up on it. When the chicks dry out it is amazing to see the colors. Louie certainly is throwing his color genes in a big way. I'll be curious to see what they look like when mature. Elkie certainly was the epitome of the "ugly duckling" who blossomed into a beautiful swan but I'm getting any of the ugly in her chicks. All chicks seem healthy. I have a ramp in the brooder to get up to the food and water that sits on a shelf. They can go under to get some cover and get away from the heat lamp if they desire and once they discovered the ramp it was like 3rd graders at recess. I may video that scene as it is too funny to watch them go up down and hop off the shelf over and over.

Here is #5. An EE mix.

Here is #7. Another EE mix just hatched.

Missed the pics last time they are great!!!

Thank you! He (I'm actually hoping it is a roo) is a bantam BBS Ameraucana. I believe he's going to be blue; I had two other bantam Ameraucana hatch, one looked like this one except black where this one is blue, and the other chick is going to be a splash cause it is mostly yellow with funky lavender patches. The two yellow chicks are EEs, where both parents are half Ameraucana & half Leghorn; the roo is white with red patches and the hen is white. The earlier hatchees in this batch were mostly my Project Silkie O chicks, and I am well pleased with them!

One of the new bantams we have is blue like yours. That's exciting! Although Elkie changed so much from a chick I don't know what to expect as she ended up white! You have some very nice mixes!
