Sarah Red Sex-Link (bigger) and Rosie (Rhode Island Red) , really getting their colors the last couple of weeks-

Here's an update of the girls! They're about 3 months old, really healthy and happy! Coop and tractor has worked out great! One trick- I never give the girls tap water, only filtered from out sink filter. There's so much junk and with only 3 I can take the time. They're still on crumbles, but east fruit/veg scraps and have started free-ranging, supervised only.

GOOD lookin' girls, and very nice photos, too!

I think the combination of their colors makes a nice palette for a small flock.

Thanks! I intentionally went with 3 different colors- red, gold and black. We'll see how the eggs look!

We got our first egg this morning!!! Beautiful and brown, slim. All the girls are about the same age 4/5 months, good hard shell. I'm happy!!! It was on the coop floor, not in the nesting box. Time to break out the golf balls

Congrats on the first egg. Who gets to eat it? If we ever get to that point, I'm going to blow out the egg and keep the shell. My girls are a little over 2 weeks old, so we have a bit of a wait.
