I am so excited!! I came home for lunch and pulled up bolting lettuce for Stella and Lola. Took it to them and by force of habit, looked in nest box and there it was-an egg!! WHOO-HOO!!!! I know it sounds goofy, you'd think by now I'd get over the magic of an egg, but I never do.
Both girls molted and the egg laying stopped. I even resorted to buying a dozen eggs at the store. Just not the same, I'll wait on my girls, thank you very much. I called my DH at work to tell him the good news. He laughed, even when I told him all I need is MORE chickens.
